About

My name is Liam Mejia Moran, and I’m a multimedia content producer and photographer based in New York City. My work focuses on amplifying stories of identity, belonging, and empowerment within the Latinx and LGBTQ+ communities. I got my start in filmmaking at 15, directing the short Journey to the Unknown with Reel Works, which premiered at Tribeca Film Festival’s Our City, My Story showcase. Not long after, I was featured in Latina Magazine as an emerging filmmaker to watch an experience that encouraged me to continue using storytelling as a way to uplift and represent my community.

Over the years, I’ve developed a diverse body of work spanning commercial, nonprofit, narrative, and corporate video production, as well as documentary and community-centered projects. I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with organizations such as Mixteca Organizatio and La Colmena to produce bilingual content that celebrates immigrant resilience and unity.

I’m also a proud member of L’unicorns, Staten Island’s first Latinx LGBTQ+ group, where we work to create safe and affirming spaces, especially for Trans women — through art, storytelling, and community connection.
